Ze French Bistro has opened at the corner of Alameda and Old Santa Fe Trail, adjacent to Garrett's Desert Inn, where it offers French baked goods, prepared on site daily, and crepes. Crepe prices range from $5 to $12.

Its owners are Stephane and Vanessa Souquiere. Stephane owns and operates a travel agency in Paris, and he has worked for his parents' restaurant in southern France. His wife, Vanessa, is a runway model in Paris.

The executive chef, Laurent Rea, hails from Alsace, France. He came to Santa Fe two years ago after working in L'Etoile Restaurant in San Antonio's Alamo Heights. Most recently, he was executive chef at the O'Keeffe Museum Cafe.

The bistro, which has an outdoor patio, is open from
7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Monday.
